# Golden Week 2025: Dojo Spring Break

The dojo's traditional Spring break begins this week, the first week of May. 

Spring Break, also known as Golden Week, is one of two traditional planned seasonal breaks (the other is **Gasshuku**; read more [here](https://www.gojukarate.com/gasshuku-reflection-and-training/) and [here](https://www.gojukarate.com/gasshuku-2023/)).

The Spring Break holiday prepares the dojo for the all-important Blackbelt Testing Selection and Blackbelt testing periods (read more [here](https://www.gojukarate.com/blackbelt-selection-2023/)) that begin immediately after Spring Break. **For 2025, Spring Break begins on Friday, May 2nd, 2025, and continues to Friday, May 9th, 2025\.** 

No classes will be held, and the dojo will be closed for all events during that time. In addition, no Livestream classes will be held.

**Regular classes resume on Saturday, May 10th, 2025.**
