# The History of Karatedō Seminar: Class Schedule Changes

The long-anticipated second part of [The History of Karatedō](https://www.gojukarate.com/the-history-of-karatedo-the-seminar-part-two/) is this **FRIDAY, April 26, 2024, from 6:15PM to 8PM**. 

The dojo will open at 5:30PM for those attending the Seminar. Livecast invitations will be sent at approximately 6PM ET (18:00 hours/GMT-4 Timezone).

To accommodate the seminar and seminar setup, the following class schedule changes have been announced:

| 10:30AM Youth General Class   | Regular Schedule |
| 10:30AM Teens General Class   | Regular Schedule |
| 11:30AM Adults General Class  | Regular Schedule |
| 12:30AM Adults Kumite Class   | Regular Schedule |

We’ll cover the post-war origins of martial arts, the influences of various disciplines on the development of karatedō, and the evolution of modern karatedō from the 1950s to Present Day.

The seminar is free for all Goju Karate students. All adults (all ranks) and all Teen students (8th Kyu and above; lower teen ranks permitted with permission of Sensei as well) are invited to attend.   
  
**Please note: parents of students in the *Juniors*, *Youth*, *Teens*, and *Mentor* divisions are invited to attend as well.**

For students not in New York City, the Seminar will also be broadcast via Livecast, and the video will be available on [**GOJUKARATE.COM**](https://www.gojukarate.com/video/)at a later date for Goju Karate students.

The first part of the seminar may be viewed online at any time. In fact, seminar attendees are strongly encourage to view the first part of the seminar to refresh their memories: Part Two on April 26th will spend very little time in summarizing the first part of the seminar from 2023.
