The dojo is open only to Blackbelts on Saturday, September 27th, 2025, in support of the final event of Blackbelt Selection for Teens (Shonen).
On Saturday, September 27th, 2025, the dojo welcomes candidates in Blackbelt Selection, Shonen (Teens) Division, for the final day of testing: Tohkon ("fighting spirit" – read more about Tohkon here).
The dojo will open at 11AM on Saturday, September 27th, 2025, but only to blackbelts and to candidates in Selection. All other classes are suspended on this day, including any LiveCast classes all Adult classes, and all Kids Classes.
Schedule
Teen candidates should expect to begin at 11:30AM; and should be at the dojo at 11AM. For blackbelts attending via LiveCast, the LiveCast broadcast will begin at approximately 11:15AM US Eastern Time (ET).
Unlike Adult Blackbelt Selection, Special Guests may be invited to the last portion of the event, by prior arrangement with Sensei. They should plan to arrive at the dojo at 2:30PM, although they will not be admitted to the dojo floor until the appropriate time.
There are no breaks during testing.
Equipment
All Selection candidates are expected to have complete kumite gear with them, as well as any equipment (wraps, gloves, etc.) necessary for bag work or partner work.
Candidates will begin with kumite gear and should be prepared with all necessary equipment at the beginning of testing.
