The 2022 Edition of the Tameshiwari Tournament featured an incredible range of breaks.
Almost two dozen karateka competed on Saturday, November 12th and produced some dramatic moments and some incredible breaks.
The Tournament was preceded by the unique annual Tameshiwari Seminar in which a number of karateka achieved their first successful breaks. Quite a few of the seminar attendees went on to compete in the tournament that followed immediately at 1:30PM ET.
The Tournament comprised three rounds:
Seiken Break, No Spacers
Shuto Break, with Spacers
Creative Break: Anything Goes
Each round had a Men's Division, a Women's Division, and for the first time this year, a Teens Division.
The tournament highlights including a record-setting six-board break without spacers in the Third Round of the Men's Division, and four men scoring over 30 points in that same round.
Scores and Highlight Photos are included below; full video coverage of both the Seminar and the Tournament will be available later, in the Goju Students Video section (an announcement will be forthcoming when it goes live).
